New Prospects for Cooperation between BIT Alliance and IUS

 

On Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, BIT Alliance and International University of Sarajevo (IUS) entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was signed at the IUS premises in order to formally establish cooperation for their mutual benefit.

 

The meeting was attended by BIT Alliance General Manager Armin Talić, IUS Rector Dr T. Erkan Türe, Vice-Rector Dr Metin Toprak, Deans Dr Sencer Yeralan and Dr Mustafa Bal, Head of Department of Arts Kenan Zekić and IUS Life Director Hilal Karić and Assistant to Director Mirsada Mehremić.

 

The possible scope of cooperation under this MoU includes coordinated internship opportunities for the IUS students, adapting the existing IT curricula to the labor market needs and two-year study programs in accordance with the new legislation.

 

The MoU opens doors to cooperation between BIT Alliance and the IUS study program of Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) regarding improvements of the existing curriculum, which includes contemporary trends in interactive media.

 

In addition, through this memorandum the two parties demonstrated their intention to establish “Coder Dojo School”, the network of free computer programming for secondary and primary school students.
