Local employment partnerships
The International Labor Organization (ILO) through the “Local Partnerships for Employment” program enabled co-financing of startups in the field of IT and creative industries.
The role of Bit Alliance was reflected in the implementation of two projects of this program in the Municipality of Centar in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, in the area of coordination and implementation of technical mentoring sessions for owners of new startup businesses, and in the selection of businesses for financial support together with other partners in the project.
In Sarajevo, the project “Sarajevo – the center of entrepreneurship” was implemented in partnership with the following members: Municipality of Centar, CEFE BiH, International Burch University, KS Employment Office and Bit Alliance.
The City of Banja Luka, the Cidea-City Development Agency and the Innovation Center Banja Luka (ICBL) in partnership with Bit Alliance implemented the project “Support for starting a STARTUP in the field of IT” with the aim of increasing employment among young people by strengthening entrepreneurial competencies and creating conditions for their self-employment. As part of the aforementioned projects, 25 new businesses were formed in Sarajevo and 20 in Banja Luka.
